Black Knoll is a dedicated mastering studio nestled in the Hudson Valley, founded by Rafael Anton Irisarri.

Over the past 20 years, Irisarri has contributed as a mastering engineer, remixer, and audio engineer to countless projects spanning genres for labels like Domino, FatCat, Ghostly International, Kranky, Nettwerk, RVNG Intl., Rough Trade, Secretly Canadian, Temporary Residence Ltd., Thrill Jockey, and Warp, among others.

Irisarri got his start playing guitar and bass in bands before discovering synths and entering the electronic music world, signing with Ghostly International in the mid-2000s. Since then, he’s released critically-acclaimed music with dozens of labels, most notably Dais, Morr Music, and ROOM40. In 2023, Irisarri joined the Mute Song label family as a songwriter and composer.
